A new leak involving the OnePlus 7 has made its way on the web and appears to confirm a lot of speculations surrounding the upcoming device. The leak showed a 360 rendering of the smartphone that showed its bezel-less 6.5 display and the absence of the controversial notch design, Pricebaba reported.
The Shenzhen-based company seems to have relocated the front snapper of the OnePlus 7 into the rumored pop-up camera that’s been circulating for a while. This is the first entry for the series that sports this feature, which is a welcome alteration for those who aren’t a fan of the notch.
Turning the device over, the 360 rendering showed that the OnePlus 7 has been outfitted with three cameras lined vertically along with an LED flash. Down low, the smartphone has been given with a type-c USB port, a loudspeaker, and a microphone. Unsurprisingly, the headphone jack is nowhere to be found as the company elected to remove this feature for its flagship.
OnePlus founder Carl Pei previously explained that their decision to remove the jack is rooted with their accumulated data suggesting that 59 percent of their users are using wireless headphones anyway. While the company has yet to confirm the authenticity of the OnePlus 7 rendering, it does go in line with other speculations that carry weight.
Since the design of the OnePlus 7’s predecessors closely follows Oppo’s R and F series, it’s been speculated that the next entry for the flagship will be treated similarly. Indeed, the rendering of the OnePlus 7 does relatively mirror that of the Oppo F11 including the pop-up camera of the recently released handset, Android Police reported.
Under the hood, however, is a different story. Although the Oppo F11 has been given with an average CPU, the OnePlus 7 is expected to not follow this path as has been observed in the past. Unfortunately, news about this front are scarce and it’s unclear how powerful the hardware of the upcoming mobile phone will be. With regards to its release date, it’s being speculated that it will come out sometime between April and July.
