OnePlus 7T has finally been unveiled, and its confirmed specs certainly did not disappoint tech fans. However, it would be understandable if those who already bought the OnePlus 7 Pro are feeling a little annoyed since the launch.
Almost every rumored hardware specification and feature about the OnePlus 7T were confirmed at its announcement this week. That means it sports a display with a 90Hz refresh rate, it has three rear-side cameras, and Android 10 is the standard operating system. But the newly unveiled device comes with a cheaper price tag than the OnePlus 7 Pro despite having very similar highlight features.
OnePlus 7T specs: How it compares with the 7 Pro
The OnePlus 7T announcement proved that there is truth to the saying, good things come to those who wait. First, it is important to note that the 7 Pro remains a very competitive device. But the truth is its best features and specs were just made available on OnePlus 7T – some of it even better – for a cheaper price tag.
OnePlus 7T’s highlight feature is its 90Hz refresh rate that promises a very responsive display performance along with crisp images, thanks to the HDR10+ technology. These features sound fancy, but mobile gamers will likely appreciate it even more.
A previous OnePlus 7T leak also suggested that the device has a standard 8GB RAM. It turned out to be true along with the not so surprising announcement that the latest OnePlus device will come off the box with the Android 10 operating system. The OnePlus 7 Pro has a 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, and it was released with the Android 9 since it came out even before Google finalized the Android 10.
OnePlus 7T actually has a slight advantage in the camera department. The OnePlus 7 Pro’s wide, telephoto, and ultrawide lenses have 48-, 8-, and 16-megapixels. The device unveiled this week has the same wide and ultrawide lens specs and a better telephoto module with a 12MP lens.

OnePlus 7T is priced at $599 only while the 7 Pro’s cost starts at $669. It might not be a significant price cut, but considering that the most significant specs and features are either carried over to and made better in OnePlus 7T, the latest device is still a good purchase.
However, smartphone fans will have to wait a few more weeks before they can secure a unit of OnePlus 7T. Orders can be placed through the OnePlus website starting on Oct. 18.
