“Outlander” season 4 is a highly anticipated installment of the series, so fans are really happy to know that its airing date is just a few months away. And as avid viewers are on the lookout for spoilers, it seems that lead stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are out to grant their wish.
On the series’s Twitter account, the two lead stars dropped a bombshell through a short clip. For the first spoiler, the pair shared that filming for the entire season 4 has just ended and they delivered this message in a mischievous manner that made fans giggle.
Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe presented a short "It’ a Wrap!" skit while wearing their “Outlander” costumes. In the video, the latter pretended to be taking a nap with her head resting on the former’s shoulder when he woke her up by shouting “Cait, wake up!”
Pretending to have woken from the call, she then asked why he was bothering her and he quickly replied, “Because it’s a wrap, we’ve finished!” The co-stars continued to act lightheartedly, obviously wanting to make the video fun to watch. Fortunately, fans love it and they expressed their excitement by commenting on the post.
While exchanging words, the pair disclosed the end of “Outlander” season 4 filming. It was also revealed that fans can expect to see scenes that were shot in Scotland and parts of eastern Europe. Moreover, the series’s air date has been confirmed by Starz for November 2018, Express reported.
However, they did not mention any specific day for the official premiere on TV. Viewers in the U.S. will get to view the drama first, then 24 hours later, it will be released in the U.K. via Amazon Prime Video.
“Outlander” season 4 is a television adaption of the historical time-travel drama based on Diana Gabaldon’s novel “Drums of Autumn.” It will follow the story of Jamie and Claire as they face new challenges while trying to start a new life together in the American colonies.
