ET Canada recently released two teasers for "Outlander" season 4 vai their official YouTube channel. In the video teasers, the show's leading stars, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, talk about the new challenges that their characters, Jamie and Claire Fraser, face in the American Frontier.
The Scottish actor reminisces about how he has grown with the role of Jamie Fraser and how he is excited to continue the Fraser family story as they grow in the new world. Specifically, he talks about the challenges that Jamie will face in what seems to be his neverending quest to secure his lairdship in “Outlander” season 4.
Heughan also mentions in the teaser that people will be coming back into Jamie Fraser's life as he makes his way to North Carolina in the fourth season. This may be an indication of the introduction of Jamie Fraser's Aunt Jocasta, a role that was recently filled by Maria Doyle Kennedy. Kennedy's casting as Jocasta was also done in tandem with Ed Speleers being cast as Stephen Bonnet.
Both Jocasta and Bonnet have yet to be seen as villains or protagonists as well for those who have yet to read Diana Gabaldon's “The Drums of Autumn,” the third book in the book series that the show is based on.
Balfe, in her interview teaser, talks about the exciting directions that Jamie and Claire Fraser's love story will be taking considering that the pair has now been uprooted from their originally European setting. Balfe also mentions the excitement of being part of the “Outlander” series due to the centrality of the Frasers' love that drives many of the story elements forward.
Should everything about “Outlander” season 4's post-production activities go according to schedule, fans can look forward to enjoying the exciting American storyline beginning in November of this year.
