The pre-production of the “Outlander” season 5 began early this year and now it was confirmed that the cast and crew are back on the set for actual filming. Catriona Balfe (Claire Fraser) announced the start of filming via Instagram on March 19.
In her post, she wrote “And so it begins...Season 5 prep time! Excuse the shrill shouting but I was very very excited to catch @jongarysteele on the incredible new set he and his team of genius artisans have built!”
The actress also told the fans to get ready for “Outlander” season 5. But that is not all, it seems that Caitriona Balfe revealed more than just the filming detail of their drama and this is because she also posted a video of a walk-through of the set.
With the clip, it is possible that the actress also unknowingly shared some spoilers for the fans to think about! As can be seen in the video, the set looks like an 18th century home. The interior is not yet fully done but there are details that suggest it is from that era.
Cinema Blend opined that based on the video, “Outlander” season 5 may show Claire and Jamie and their family coming together at the Fraser’s Ridge. But then again, the outlet noted that it is also possible this is another set and what that could be is uncertain.
But when Caitriona Balfe said that it is a “new set,” then there a chance that “Outlander” season 5 will feature a new place where the Fraser family will move. Lastly, the place in the video can also be just another part of Jacosta’s mansion but whatever the right answer is, this small teaser is enough to excite the viewers for the upcoming installment.
“Outlander” season 5 has no premiere date yet but most likely, it will be released before the year ends and be shown until early 2020.
