Bitupcard, a prepaid bitcoin voucher service, has now been expanded to further 270 retail stores all over Turkey, which raised the total number of retail locations offering over-the-counter bitcoin purchases to 300.
The expansion is subsequent to the launch of the pilot scheme which saw the sale USD25000 worth of bitcoin in ten weeks. It is being operated by Bit4coin, an Amsterdam-based bitcoin seller in partnership with MK Payment, a Berlin-based company.
"We are excited with the early success we are seeing in the market. The launch has exceeded our expectations, and we are very happy to quickly expand the reach and make Bitupcard even more accessible to more customers", said Dolf Diederichsen, CEO at Bit4coin.
