“Overlord 3” Episode 7 has treated fans to glorious slaughter in the name of Ainz Ooal Gown as the different worker groups that were tasked by a noble of the Baharuth Kingdom to explore the Great Tomb of Nazarick were taken out one-by-one.
Fans of the show may remember that the Great Tomb of Nazarick is Ainz Ooal Gown's guild headquarters and is known as an impenetrable dungeon. Team Green Leaf was easily destroyed by Nazarick Old Guarders summoned by the Pleiades. Team Heavy Masher was chased throughout the tomb before being split up, with one half being fed to cockroaches while others fell prey to Neuronist Painkill. Team Tenmu, on the other hand, encounters Hamasuke, who ends up killing the Tenmu leader Erya Uzruth before leaving Uzruth's elven slaves to wreak vengeance upon his body.
The last team to be given the spotlight is Team Foresight, which activates a teleportation trap that ends with them being sent to the Tomb's sixth level. Team Foresight members find themselves facing Ainz Ooal Gown himself in what appears to be a massive coliseum. The episode's official preview shows a battle between Ainz Ooal Gown will definitely happen, but fans can still speculate if Team Foresight will be able to convince Ainz Ooal Gown to lay down his arms and allow them mercy.
If “Overlord 3” episode 8 follows the plot of the original light novels, fans can expect Team Foresight to be beaten by Ainz Ooal Gown, who makes short work of the three warriors of Team Foresight. Team Foresight will focus on making sure that Arche, their youngest member, will be able to escape. This will become unfortunate for Arche, who will eventually be captured and killed by Shalltear Bloodfallen. The rest of Team Foresight will most likely be defeated as well by Ainz Ooal Gown.
Fans of the series can catch “Overlord III” episode 8, “A Handful of Hope,” on Crunchyroll. The episode will air on its usual Wednesday broadcast on Aug. 29.
