“ISO 9001:2015 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only standard in the [ISO 9000] family that can be certified to (although this is not a requirement). … This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement.”
Following ISO 9001 guidance will help to ensure that Owl customers continue to receive consistent, high quality products and services through strict enforcement and ongoing enhancement of internal quality control processes. For example, adhering to the policy direction of regulatory agencies, Owl maintains a tightly controlled U.S.-based supply chain at the company, product, service, and support levels. The ISO 9001:2015 standard will provide a framework to continually improve this supply chain, increasing efficiencies, security, and quality.
“Owl has always had a relentless focus on providing the highest quality products and services to our customers,” says Sal Morlando, Owl’s Chief Operating Officer. “ISO 9001 will help us to further sharpen and scale our process-based improvements as Owl continues to grow our product line and expand into new markets.”
Owl anticipates that the ISO 9001:2015 certification will help the company:
- Continue to focus on putting customers first
- Identify new business opportunities
- Work more efficiently and scale processes for growth
- Meet the requirements of customers in highly regulated industries
- Recognize and reduce business risks
“Since its founding, Owl’s goal has always been to set the gold standard for the network security industry,” stated Owl President & CEO, Mike Timan. “The ISO 9001:2015 certification is not just a recognition of our tireless efforts to put out the best products and services available on the market today, but that we intend to do so for years to come.”
