‘PUBG Mobile’ update 0.19.0 release date, leaks, features: Ancient Secret Mode has boss fights, Level 3 loot chest, and minigames

“PUBG Mobile” update 0.19.0 will have players fighting boss mummies and cobra snakes in flying pyramid temples through the upcoming Ancient Secret Mode. Unlike what previous reports said, the new gameplay could be released on two maps.

Ancient Secret Mode in Miramar and Erangel maps

Players can experience the new Ancient Secret Mode by queuing up through the Erangel and Miramar maps. Right at the lobby, “PUBG Mobile” gamers will immediately spot some improvements in the animation that would suit the theme of the new game mode.

At the start of the match, players will find three big icons of pyramids on the map. It is yet to be confirmed if their placements will be changed in every match. But “PUBG Mobile” players who want to fully experience the Ancient Secret Mode should proceed to these locations where they will find huge structures that look very similar to the Mayan and Aztec pyramids. After a certain period, the topmost section of the building will be detached and float into the air.

In exploring the interior of the pyramid, “PUBG Mobile” players will find about three different minigames. Based on the gameplay videos from Powerbang Gaming, these are hardly challenging and can be solved very easily. Every puzzle solved, a loot chest will be opened and a message that says the player has been cursed will appear. One of the minigames is just a one-question quiz asking which area on the map has the most number of killed players, and the answer usually is Pochinki.

There’s a boss fight with a Level-3 loot chest

Upon completing the minigames, a special room will open where “PUBG Mobile” players will have to complete a boss fight. Depending on how good of a shooter a player is, this challenge can also be accomplished in no time.

Once the boss fight is unlocked, a mummy appears at the center of the room guarded by several cobra snakes. Players should be careful from the latter because they will suffer damages if they got in contact with the snake. The mummy does not move, but it can use a one-directional attack that produces huge spikes that can hurt the player.

If the player needs health restoration, they can stand over the round pads in the middle of the room. It will automatically replenish their health, but make sure that the snakes are killed first before running toward these pads. Once the mummy boss is defeated, “PUBG Mobile” players will be rewarded with a loot chest full of Level 3 gears as well as hard-to-find items like 8x scope, adrenaline syringe, and rare weapons.
