Applications accepted now until March 31 at pdc30.com/grant
AURORA. Ill., Jan. 24, 2017 -- Painters District Council No. 30 (PDC 30) is thrilled to announce the creation of two grants to be awarded to deserving North-Central Illinois community organizations. The first grant will award cash to children-centered organizations and the second grant will award professional painting, drywall, or glazing services. This is the first time these grants have been made available to the public.
The first grant is a $10,000 cash grant through the Painters and Allied Trades for Children’s Hope (PATCH) Foundation. PDC 30 will accept applications now through March 31, 2017. Any North-Central Illinois organization needing financial assistance to develop a new program that will affect positive change and address a specific, documented need relating to children within the community is invited to apply for the PATCH Foundation cash grant.
The second grant is a community service grant, which awards deserving organizations with skilled volunteers for a renovation project involving painting, drywall finishing, or glazing. PDC 30 will accept applications for this grant now until March 31, 2017. Any non-profit organization in need of skilled volunteers and materials to complete a renovation or expansion project that will make a difference in their community is invited to apply. Please be ready to provide the details of your project when submitting this grant application.
“These grants will significantly impact two worthwhile organizations who are in need of funding or renovation,” said Ryan Anderson, Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer of PDC 30. “Not only do we strive to increase work opportunities for our union members and contractors, we care a great deal for our communities and enjoy the feeling that comes with bringing about positive change. We’re excited to showcase our craft and give back to the community in any way that we can.”
To apply for either grant, visit pdc30.com/grant and complete the appropriate quick form. PDC 30 will send additional paperwork to determine the need and project scope for each grant. Winners of both the PATCH and community service grants will be announced in the spring of 2017.
