BERWYN, Pa., Oct. 11, 2017 -- Pepper Hamilton LLP announced today that Deborah L. Spranger has joined the firm as a partner in the Health Sciences Department, resident in the Berwyn office.
Ms. Spranger represents manufacturing, life sciences and other technology companies in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance matters and intellectual property licensing matters. Her experience includes counseling clients in corporate governance, contract review and negotiation and acquisitions and dispositions. Ms. Spranger regularly represents companies and investors in angel and venture capital investments. Her deep experience will serve key areas of practice within Pepper Hamilton’s Health Sciences Department, including Life Sciences and Health Sciences Transactions.
In addition, Ms. Spranger assists companies in acquiring and commercializing intellectual property assets in the procurement and implementation of software (including SAAS) and other technology. She regularly handles research and development and commercial contracts for life sciences companies, including research collaboration, clinical trial, contract research, contract manufacturing and distribution agreements.

Prior to Pepper, Ms. Spranger was a partner at Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP, where she served on the firm’s Executive Committee, led the firm’s Business and Finance Department, and co-chaired the firm’s Life Science’s Practice Group. Prior to law school, Ms. Spranger spent five years in production and engineering control at a manufacturing company.

Ms. Spranger received her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where she was the student articles editor for the University of Cincinnati Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. She received her B.A. from Furman University, cum laude.
