Pizza Hut is the latest fast-food chain to get into the spicy food trend, and for starters, it has rolled out the spiciest pizza it has ever created. The restaurant chain added the Spicy Lover's Pizza to its menu list on Thursday, Jan. 27.
The new spicy pizza is already in the Pizza Hut stores across the United States, but it will only be available for a limited time. The new food item is made with spicy marinara sauce, red jalapeño peppers, crushed chili peppers, and the restaurant's exclusive blend of herbs. The pizza is also topped with two kinds of pepperoni - the classic and crispy cupped.
As per CNN Business, Pizza Hut's Spicy Lover's Pizza is sold in three options, and these are Spicy Double Pepperoni, Spicy Veggie, and Spicy Hawaiian Chicken. The veggie version features mushrooms, onions, fiery flakes, green bell peppers, and spicy marinara sauce.
All the spicy pizza versions are completed with Pizza Hut's traditional layer of melted cheese and trademark sauce. The large size of the new pizza costs $12.99.
Pizza Hut created spicy pizza after research shows that almost 80% of customers who order fast-food love moderately spicy foods. It was added that the spicy flavors are a magnet for younger people and diverse customers.
"Pizza Hut has been making iconic pizzas for generations, and that requires adapting for each new wave of pizza lovers," Pizza Hut chief brand officer, Georgeanne Erickson, said in a press release. "As consumer tastes continue getting more adventurous, the launch of Spicy Lover's Pizza allows Pizza Hut to satisfy the growing craving for a well-balanced, spicy flavor. No other national pizza QSR is offering spicy pizza in the space, and we're excited to bring this thoughtfully crafted spicy pizza to pizza lovers across the country!"
Finally, it was said that Pizza Hut deliberately jumped into one of the hottest trends today to create new flavors for its pizzas. After seeing the data research of more people loving spicy food, the company immediately got to work and made new food that people like. And now, a new spicy pizza is here.
