Poland’s wage growth is likely to have continued accelerating in November. According to a Societe Generale research report, Polish wage growth is expected to have accelerated slightly from 3.6 percent in October to 3.9 percent year-on-year in November. Moreover, minor changes are also expected in employment growth in the month. Employment growth is likely to have slowed a bit to 3 percent year-on-year in November from 3.1 percent year-on-year in October.
Both figures are expected to be neutral for investors. According to recent surveys, wage growth is expected to continue. The Randstad survey showed that about 44 percent of Poland’s companies intend to hike wages in the coming six months. This is a 19 percentage point rise from the August survey and a 9 percentage point rise from the November 2015 survey.
