Popeyes is reintroducing a beloved dish and a new item, as fans assert that the fast-food chicken chain is "better than KFC."

The Louisiana BBQ Sandwich is briefly returning to UK restaurants after its initial launch last year. During its first week, nearly 10,000 of the New Orleans-inspired food items were sold. The sweet and smoky condiment was eventually reinstated after being removed from the menu due to the cravings of over 65,000 customers, who included it in their orders.

The BBQ Sandwich is priced at £6.99 and infused with LouLouisianaana's flatter Crunchin' fried chicken breast is encased in a soft brioche bun and crowned with smoked cheese, fresh pickles, BBQ sauce, and mayo. The sandwich is drizzled with a delectable BBQ sauce.

Earlier this year, a Popeyes fan posted on X (formerly Twitter): "Tried Popeyes for the first time recently and their BBQ Louisiana is amazing." Another individual responded that the chain was superior to KFC.

"I was never into that kind of stuff, I'd always go for their chicken (spicy or mild), which mind you taste way better than the ones at KFC," they wrote.

In another instance, a devotee tweeted, "Thinking about Popeyes Louisiana BBQ wings at this time."Popeyes has also introduced the delectable saucin' chicken wings as a flavor combo to further gratify its customers. The in-house Popeyes sweet and smoky sauce, which has a subtle Southern twang, is drizzled over the items priced at £5.75.

Popeyes UK Introduces Box Meals and New Saucin' Wings, Offering Fans Customizable Combos

The wings are available in quantities of five, eight, or twelve or as part of a meal that includes potatoes and a beverage. The Mirror, in a report, the chain also announced the introduction of Box Meals and these latest releases. For the first time, fans can purchase Mixin' Munchin' Combo Crunchin' with their preferred menu items for £9.99.

The Box Meals are offered in four types:

• Chicken Sandwich Box Meal (Classic or Spicy)

• Chicken Sandwich Deluxe Box Meal (Classic or Spicy)

• Signature Louisiana Chicken Box Meal

• Louisiana BBQ Sandwich Box Meal

Customers can select a Popeyes Sandwich, such as the most recent Louisiana BBQ Sandwich, and a side of either two Chicken Tenders or three Hot Wings with each Box Meal. However, they prefer to avoid having a sandwich. In that case, they may select a combination of three Chicken Tenders and three Hot Wings, which are included in the Signature Louisiana Chicken Box Meal.

When ordering items as a Box Meal, customers may potentially save over £7. Each meal includes standard potatoes and a standard beverage. Additionally, Popeyes enthusiasts may enhance their order by substituting conventional fries with Cajun Fries for a mere £1.
