“Power” season 6 is definitely coming as the show has been renewed even before its fifth season was aired. With this, fans can now look forward to the next chapters as the story about Ghost (Omari Hardwick) continues.
The confirmation of “Power” season 6 was posted on Instagram when Starz announced the premiere of the fifth season. The network stated that more episodes are coming and it wrote: “We’ll be back for a Season 6. #PowerTV.”
Number of Seasons
“Power” season 6 is returning for the sixth run but after that, there could be few seasons left before the series ends. Showrunner Courtney Kemp said that the crime drama was not intended to air for a long time.
“This show was not designed to go 10 seasons. It was not designed to go 15 seasons. It’s not a crime procedural or a sitcom,” Kemp told Deadline. “It’s a closed-ended story that really begins and, in some way, ends with Ghost.”
Show co-executive producer and actor 50 Cent stated that they are thinking of doing at least seven seasons. He also said that he is really grateful that they have reached this stage which only means that they have succeeded.
Angela Mystery - Plot
At any rate, when “Power” season 6 arrives, the first thing that fans want to know is whether Angela lived or died. She was shot in the fifth season’s finale and her fate would be revealed in the upcoming installment.
Then again, it seems that the viewers will not have to wait for “Power” season 6’s premiere to know the answer because the drama’s villain Joseph Sikora already disclosed that Angela survived. Via Instagram, the actor posted a photo of the cast and in the caption line, he wrote: “This is what it sounds like... when doves cry.” He added the hashtags #powertv #season6 and #angelaaintdead.”
Moreover, Courtney Kemp also ended the mystery even before Sikora made reference to Angela’s fate. On social media, the “Power” season 6’s show creator posted a note stating that “Angela is not dead.”
Airdate
Although “Power” season 6 started filming in November last year, Starz Network has not scheduled its premiere date yet. However, it is confirmed to arrive this year based on the teaser that the network posted back in September 2018.
