SPOKANE, Wash., Jan. 24, 2017 -- RLHC (Red Lion Hotels Corporation) (NYSE:RLH), reported today that it added a record number of new hotels and franchise license agreements during 2016. This reflects the combined efforts of RLHC and Vantage for the full calendar year and resulted in 68 hotels opened and 87 franchise license agreements signed.
The 87 license agreements cover 10 brands in 30 different U.S. states, four Canadian provinces and South Korea as hoteliers throughout the world continue to franchise with RLHC to maximize their investment and enter the world of forward-thinking hospitality.
Notable hotel additions included Hotel RLs in Brooklyn, New York, Houston, Texas and Omaha, Nebraska; a 231-room Red Lion Hotel & Conference Center in Billings, Montana; a 255-room Red Lion Hotel in Omaha; the company’s first-ever GuestHouse location in Georgia; a 342-room Value Hotel Worldwide in Gangneung, South Korea; a 279-room Lexington Hotel in Rochester, New York; a 112-room Country Hearth Inn & Suites in San Antonio, Texas; 12 Red Lion Inns & Suites; and 47 Americas Best Value Inns.

RLHC brands opened in 28 states and four provinces, including 37 Americas Best Value Inns, eight Red Lion Inns & Suites, five Country Hearth Inns & Suites, four Lexingtons, four Canadas Best Value Inns, three Hotel RLs, two Red Lion Hotels, two Signature Inns, one Jameson, and one GuestHouse. Texas had the most openings with 11, followed by six in California and four apiece in Georgia and Mississippi.
The openings took place in several major markets throughout North America, such as Houston, Texas; Salt Lake City, Utah; Miami Beach, Florida; Jacksonville, Florida; Sacramento, California; Memphis, Tennessee; Indianapolis, Indiana; Fargo, North Dakota; Boise, Idaho; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Calgary, Alberta.
