With Rockstar Games' upcoming western action adventure game less than two months away from release, the New York-based video game publisher has started to ramp up the visibility of “Red Dead Redemption 2.”
Some fans may have already spotted the “Red Dead Redemption 2” billboards in East Houston and Lafayette in New York City. Twitter user Tom Caswell tweeted photos of the billboards up close. The boards feature some of the main characters from the upcoming game's storyline, with the tagline “Outlaws for Life” featured in each section.

Twitter user Mr_Nobody, posted a more panoramic shot of the “Red Dead Redemption 2” billboards, one of which is shown to be visible at a busy intersection – a prime spot for advertising visibility.

Should “Red Dead Redemption 2's” more aggressive real-life marketing campaign be too far away for fans to appreciate in person, Rockstar Games also released a gameplay video last Aug. 9. The video breaks down information on some features that have been improved since the game's first installment that was released back in 2010.
Some of the featured mechanics include the camp management system that allows players to interact with their gang of outlaws. Interacting with gang members include activities such as hunting to keep the camp's food reserves viable, talking with specifically named characters, and milling about camp. The gameplay video also featured a sneak peek at “Red Dead Redemption 2's” encounter system, which can help players decide on how to approach the game world the way they want to.
The gameplay video does not include information on multiplayer game modes or the game's other combat mechanics such as the “deadeye” mechanic, which can supposedly allow players to execute multiple enemies like a true western gunslinger. Rockstar's video mentions that these details will be covered in a future gameplay video.
Fans can look forward to Oct. 26, when “Red Dead Redemption 2” is due for release, to experience firsthand the features discussed in the gameplay video.
