“I was attracted by the company’s commitment to being a security-led Strategic Business Partner for IT. This is backed by amazingly talented people whose mission is to understand, advise, and implement the best solutions for their customers,” Pinckney said. “In my experience, there are not a lot of IT business partners that operate in this enlightened fashion.”
Pinckney comes to Red Sky Solutions with years of experience in both the IT and vendor space. Having spent seven years as Chief Information Officer at Psomas, a leading engineering firm based in Los Angeles, Chris led many transformative efforts for the company and worked to align IT to business objectives and top-line growth. He also spent time at Riverbed Technology, where he directed customer programs, ran the global customer advisory board, multiple technology advisory councils, and managed all facets of customer marketing.
Red Sky is set to host its second-annual security conference in Utah where it will launch new services and continue its focus on finding the best technologies for its customers. With this in mind, the timing was right for the rapidly growing company to evolve its marketing strategy.
“Chris brings a blend of experience that gives Red Sky a unique perspective on how we should market ourselves to IT and interact with our manufacturing partners. We are excited to take what we have already accomplished and build a strategy that goes far beyond the traditional point-product and events-based marketing typically seen by our competition,” said Red Sky CEO, Chris Barney.
“To me, this position goes way beyond sales enablement, marketing operations and vendor relationships,” said Pinckney. “It is the thrill of educating IT practitioners on solutions to their business challenges, while reinventing the way Red Sky provides excellence to its customers.”
