Rosetta Stone and Siemens Professional Education win eLearning AWARD 2018 for most innovative workplace learning program

Arlington, VA and Munich, Germany, Feb. 21, 2018 -- Rosetta Stone Inc. (NYSE: RST), one of the world's leading providers of digital language learning programs, today announced that together with Siemens Professional Education, it has been awarded the eLearning AWARD 2018 in the Language Training category for the English in Education professional education program at Siemens’ headquarters in Germany.

With approximately 8,800 apprentices and work-study program participants in Germany, Siemens is one of the world’s largest and most innovative training providers. Each year, the company hires some 1,500 apprentices and work-study program participants, with training focusing on administrative, technical, and IT-related fields. Siemens Professional Education provides support and training for these young people.  The unit is responsible for supervising and training program participants and has been working with Rosetta Stone since 2013 to implement a world-class language training program for its workforce. One of the world’s largest providers of energy-efficient, resource-saving technologies, Siemens is a leading supplier of power generation and transmission systems as well as solutions for the healthcare industry.

The eLearning AWARD is a valuable confirmation of the project’s success and the strong cooperation between the two companies. The eLearning AWARD will be officially presented to Rosetta Stone and Siemens at the “didacta Education Fair” this week in Hannover, Germany.

Following a successful pilot project in 2013, more than 4,000 apprentices and students participating in work-study programs at 30 locations across Siemens’ organization have registered for training with Rosetta Stone since 2014, when the program was officially rolled out. The company invested in this partnership with Rosetta Stone because it was looking for an efficient solution for training and continuously motivating a very heterogeneous learner group while maintaining high data privacy standards.
