Russian-installed governor Leonid Pasechnik said attacks on vehicles in Russian-held Luhansk, part of eastern Ukraine’s Donbas, killed at least seven people and injured 14 in all.

His account covered three separate incidents across the region. Pasechnik attributed the bus and van attacks to Ukrainian forces. Pasechnik said the bus was attacked Thursday morning on the road between Petrovka and Luhansk. He put the preliminary toll there at five dead and 13 injured; the wounded included teenagers ages 15 and 17.

He separately said two people died when a van was attacked on the road between Rebrykove and Rovenky. In Alchevsk, a 38-year-old man was injured in an attack on a minibus, Pasechnik said. His reports attributed 13 injuries to the bus incident and one to the minibus, accounting for the stated total of 14.

Anadolu Agency reported that Ukrainian authorities had not commented on the incidents and that its report did not specify when the van and minibus attacks occurred. Pasechnik said medical personnel were treating those injured.
