OAKS, Pa., Nov. 16, 2016 -- SEI (NASDAQ:SEIC) announced today that its Advisors’ Inner Circle (AIC) Funds® trusts have exceeded $45 billion in assets under management, becoming one of the industry’s leading mutual fund series trust providers.
SEI helped pioneer the series trust concept 25 years ago, introducing the Advisors’ Inner Circle Fund® trusts as an institutional-quality turnkey mutual fund operating platform. The AIC trusts enable investment advisers to rapidly launch and grow mutual funds in a cost-effective way, without having to build their own operating infrastructure.
The Advisors’ Inner Circle platform provides a comprehensive solution, including independent boards of trustees and a scalable infrastructure that offers fund administration, accounting, investor servicing, and distribution services. AIC was first launched 25 years ago with three funds, two clients and about $13 million in assets under management. Today, the series trusts have grown to servicing more than 130 funds, representing over 40 clients and more than $45 billion in assets under management. Additionally, the trusts have benefitted from the continued popularity of managers launching alternative investment strategies in ’40 Act registered vehicles (often referred to as “liquid alternatives”), which require specialized investment expertise, marketing and distribution.
“Our firm recently had the need to launch a complex multi-asset total return strategy in a ‘40 Act vehicle. We were impressed with SEI’s Advisors’ Inner Circle platform and its experience with diverse and complex strategies across asset classes,” said Ethan Stambler, Managing Director of PineBridge Investments.
“For over 10 years, we have participated in SEI’s Advisors’ Inner Circle Funds® series trust, which has been a competitive advantage in our success to grow assets and service our investors. Not only have we benefitted tremendously from the trust’s operational infrastructure, but we value the advice, expertise, and experience of the team and other key providers with whom we work,” said Fausto Rotundo, Chief Financial Officer of Edgewood Management, LLC.
“Over the last 25 years, we have been very fortunate to work in collaboration with many quality investment managers to help them launch and grow their mutual fund assets and service their investors. We truly appreciate our clients trusting their business with us, and look forward to many more years of being a valued participant in their success,” said Mike Beattie, President of The Advisors’ Inner Circle Funds®.
