Honor has set a new benchmark in the foldable phone market, using a humorous and tiny engraved apology on its ultra-thin Magic V3 to playfully mock Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 6 design.
Honor’s Magic V3 Takes Foldable Market Lead
By breaking the record for folding thickness, Honor's Magic V3 has stunned the tech community and established itself as the undisputed leader in its category. The South Korean tech behemoth was recently the target of the company's humorous micro engraving, WCCFTECH shares.
With the Magic V2, which had a thickness of 10mm, Honor quickly established itself as a leader in the foldable phone market. Now, with the Magic V3, the company has slashed that thickness even further, lowering it down to 9.2mm, shattering its own record.
Because of its superior innovation and user-friendly design, Honor has surpassed its competitors in the holding experience.
Honor Mocks Samsung with Subtle Engraving
Next week, the world will see the release of the thinnest foldable phone. Honor, in anticipation of this release, has devised a clever ploy to mock Samsung, the category pioneer, for failing to match the minuscule design of its foldable.
Graham Short, who is famous for his tiny engravings, was recruited by the business to conduct the dig, according to PhoneArena.
Tiny Apology Engraved on Magic V3 by Graham Short
Anyone who owns a Samsung phone, particularly a Galaxy Z Fold, knows that there are better options available, but Honor has commissioned an artist to etch a tiny apology onto the Honor Magic V3 for those people.
Engraving anything, let alone a 166-word playful apology, onto the Magic V3 can be a challenge due to the carving's placement on one side of the device and its 4.35mm opening. The engravings are as follows:
"Dear Samsung Galaxy Z Fold owners, we’re sorry. We know you were excited to buy a phone that folds in half and fits in your pocket, awkwardly. You were promised the future, a technical marvel, a world of boundless multitasking and performance. And now, you're probably looking at the new HONOR Magic V3 and feeling a little... betrayed. Size matters, and we feel your pain. Like being tipped for a gold medal and then coming last in the race, the knowledge that a thinner, lighter, and more durable foldable exists is enough to make anyone question their choices. We get it. You were an early adopter, a pioneer bravely venturing into the uncharted territory of foldable screens with questionable durability. You deserve better. In fact, you deserve a gold medal. In all seriousness, we at HONOR are committed to pushing the boundaries of technology and bringing you the best possible foldable experience. We're just saying... it's okay to feel let down. We'd feel the same way."
Honor’s Marketing Excellence in the Foldable Market
Only a microscope could decipher Mr. Graham's 90-hour work on the exceedingly challenging skill. Because the gadget was so thin and the metal was so heavy, the artist had to use diamond-tipped pens to etch the design, which was a laborious process.
Honor did more than just introduce the world's thinnest foldable phone—it also came up with a brilliant marketing campaign to highlight its position in the foldable market—it set a new standard for excellence.
