Another day, another leak for smartphone fans eager to see what the Samsung Galaxy S21 series would look like. Aside from the previously reported new camera bump in the back, the latest report suggests there would be up to five color variants to be released.
Samsung Galaxy S21 design
Tech fans saw Samsung lean more into the camera bump design with the Galaxy S20 series earlier this year. For the first time in the product line, the company launched all devices in the lineup with a rectangular camera bump that houses three to four cameras. While the same trend can be expected next year, Samsung is applying some design changes that would make the rear-facing camera bump appear more refined.

Well-known leaker Ice Universe released a couple of image renders that show what the new Galaxy S21 camera bump could look like. The camera housing is pushed to the edge making it appear as part of the device’s frame. This is the second time this design appeared online as another popular leaker, OnLeaks, revealed the same design changes in a separate report.
However, Ice Universe’s leaked images show five colorways. The report suggests the Galaxy S21 could be available in White, Black, Violet, Silver or Gray, and Pink. Meanwhile, not much appears to be changed in the front of the device as it still sports a selfie camera hole in the middle of the screen.
Samsung Galaxy S21 specs
A specs sheet was previously reported by Android Police suggesting the Galaxy S21 will be launched with three models -- S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra. Interestingly, the color variants mentioned in this report correspond with the image released by Ice Universe.
All three Galaxy S21 models are expected to be powered by Exynos 2100 or Snapdragon 875, support 5G mobile and Wi-Fi 6 networks, and run on Android 11-based One UI 3.1 operating system. The Galaxy S21 would have the smallest screen at 6.2 inches followed by the 6.7-inch display of Galaxy S21+. Not surprisingly, the Galaxy S21 Ultra has a high-end screen which is a 6.8-inch LTPO display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz refresh rate.
The Galaxy S21 and S21+ will reportedly have the same rear camera composition with two 12MP lenses and a 64MP sensor. The Galaxy S21 Ultra is expected to launch with two 10MP lenses, a 12MP sensor, and a whopping 108MP main camera.
Samsung Galaxy S21 release date
It is also not surprising that there have been these many leaks about the Galaxy S21 series. Samsung is reportedly planning to launch the device lineup earlier in 2021. The smartphones could arrive in the market in February, which possibly calls for an announcement in late January.
