The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is expected to be officially released by Samsung on January 17, with the flagship three also being launched in the company's native country of South Korea.
The business was originally speculated to keep costs consistent with the Galaxy S23, but new information suggests that this level of consistency will not be relevant to all storage variants.
Higher-Tier Storage Models of Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus Are Slightly More Expensive Than Their Direct Predecessors
According to the most recent Korean rumor, no matter which Galaxy S24 Ultra model you choose, it will be more expensive than the Galaxy S23 Ultra, as per Ppomppu. The base version with 256GB of onboard storage is said to be priced at KRW 1,698,400, or around $1,295 -- price increased by KRW 99,000, or $83, providing the current exchange rate estimate is within the margin of error. According to these figures, the 512GB option will be more expensive, which is not surprising.
When it comes to the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus, it appears that Samsung intends to keep the 256GB models' pricing consistent with last year, which should encourage customers to upgrade because they will be charged the same amount as they were previously for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus. The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus are said to be KRW 22,000 ($18.5) more expensive for the 512GB variants, which is a negligible sum.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus Emerges as a Potential Favorite with Enhanced Features and Competitive Pricing
However, keep in mind that these speculated prices only apply to South Korea; in the United States and other locations, changing exchange rates may require users to spend more or less for each model, as per WCCFTech.
Overall, the Galaxy S24 Plus may gain popularity this year because, according to an earlier specifications leak, this “middle of the pack” flagship will have a slightly larger display than the Galaxy S23 Plus and the same 12GB LPDDR5X RAM count as the Galaxy S24 Ultra while being less expensive.
Even if it falls short in several aspects, such as camera array, design, or battery capacity, Samsung has greatly enhanced the Galaxy S24 Plus this year, at least on paper. We recommend waiting for the official announcements to conclude before providing our thoughts on the future devices, so stay tuned.
