The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will be the tech giant's top-tier flagship for 2024, and like the Galaxy S23 Ultra, we expect the future edition to include some special features, such as strong camera technology.
In terms of megapixel count, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will be comparable to its predecessor, but one source claims that Samsung will make various upgrades to the primary camera, including AI optimizations.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 200MP Camera Expected to Include AI Optimizations, Improved Night Mode
Ice Universe did not reveal the Galaxy S24 Ultra's intricate camera specifications, but he did suggest that the flagship will receive some Night Mode upgrades. Samsung, like every other phone manufacturer, uses computational algorithms for its camera, and in low-light settings, these processes eliminate film grain and other defects to improve image quality.
The tipster did not elaborate on how this Night Mode will improve, but one area where Samsung might benefit is how long the image is processed. When Night Mode is enabled, the processed photograph may take a few seconds to store in your gallery.
Samsung can shorten this period, allowing consumers to capture many photographs fast without having to worry about 'camera shake' effects. AI enhancements are another area where Ice Universe thinks the Galaxy S24 Ultra camera will improve.
According to reports, the handset's sensor will be able to distinguish and optimize 12 different objects in order to increase image quality.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra's AI Camera: Beyond 12 Object Recognition
One user, as per WCCFTech, joked that his Roomba can recognize 25 things, hinting that the upgrades purportedly coming to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra are minor. However, another person stated that those 12 objects may be separated into sub-categories, such as animals, vehicles, landscapes, furniture, humans, nature, and so on.
Because each animal or vehicle is unique, Samsung's algorithms might have trained 200MP to recognize millions of photographs in that subcategory and increase image quality.
This has the potential to be a powerful camera feature, but considering how Ice Universe disclosed this information, it is understandable that anyone reading about the Galaxy S24 Ultra camera receiving AI optimizations for “12 objects” may be dissatisfied, as 12 is such a small amount.
It will be up to Samsung to use its marketing resources to demonstrate the camera's limitless capabilities, but the actual results will be seen when the flagship comes, which is not long away, and we will have multiple updates ready for our readers.
