2015 Galaxy users in South Korea are currently being offered a new promo when using mobile payments app Samsung Pay on their mobile phones.
Tech Times reports that the South Korean firm requires entrants to activate the app on either their sixth-generation phones between October 28 to November 8 to be eligible to receive an OEM wireless charger. Once entrants register their credit card information, email address and perform other instructions in the promo page, they will expect to get their free wireless charges after eight to ten weeks.
Samsung’s latest offer could well be a strategic move for the company against its tech contemporaries and the most unlikely competitors, like Chase, which has since ventured in the highly-growing mobile payments industry. Should Samsung be successful in this market, it would be a significant milestone for the company, considering its financial struggles. Its fourth-quarter profit last year fell 37.4 percent, which is the first for the company in three years, NDTV said.
