RESTON, Va., April 05, 2017 -- ScienceLogic, the leader in hybrid IT service assurance, is delighted to announce it will be awarding two college scholarships of $2,500 each for students writing the most compelling and interesting essays on how technology is impacting our communities.
Any U.S. resident with a minimum GPA of 3.0, enrolled or seeking enrollment in a full-time graduate or undergraduate course at an accredited university in the U.S. is welcome to submit their essay in the scholarship contest. The topic of the essay is “The Impact of Connected Technology on Society” and the essay should be 1,300 – 1,500 words long.
“It’s vital that we understand exactly how technological innovation is going to impact our local and global communities,” said Dave Link, CEO of ScienceLogic. “That conversation needs to start with our best and brightest students. Our hope is that these scholarships will encourage students to think about how technology both unites and potentially divides us. We’ll be publishing essays from the group of finalists and hope they will spark discussion on how innovation and technology can help us understand and appreciate other viewpoints.”
In addition to submitting an essay, students will also need to provide a letter of recommendation from their professor. Full details of how to submit an essay in the scholarship contest are available here. Deadline for submissions is September 1, 2017.
ScienceLogic is proud to support students as they study and work to understand the ever more complex technological landscapes everyone needs to navigate in both life and business.
