WILMINGTON, Mass., Jan. 09, 2017 -- Security Innovation, a pioneer in software and automotive security, announced today that it will be partnering with Autotalks Ltd. to supply its Aerolink® secure communications software for the Autotalks Vehicle to Everything (V2X) communications solutions.
Supporting the IEEE 1609.2 and ETSI security standards, Security Innovation’s Aerolink is the undisputed leader in securing Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I) communications. Aerolink has been selected to provide security and privacy for the 2017 Cadillac CTS, the first commercially available vehicle with built-in V2V capabilities. Aerolink has also been successfully implemented in the majority of Ann Arbor Safety Pilot vehicles through a program sponsored by the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI).
Autotalks provides comprehensive V2X chipsets, CRATON2 and SECTON, that deliver advanced security features, ensuring high-performance and reliable communication between vehicles and road side infrastructure. Autotalks field-proven chipset has been deployed worldwide in multiple pilot projects and selected for major production volume implementations. Autotalks offers tamper-resistant storage and hardened-V2X communications features that protect user privacy and prevent unauthorized access to critical connected systems within the vehicle.
Mr. Hagai Zyss, Autotalks' CEO, explained: "The security of Autotalks’ V2X solution is of the highest importance to us. This is one of the main advantages that makes our chipset the best on the market today. With Security Innovation’s Aerolink integration on CRATON2, we offer the only truly secure V2X solution to our Tier1 and OEM customers and will be in mass-market deployment by 2019.”
"Security Innovation works closely with global automakers and their major suppliers to help build secure and private communication systems for connected vehicles," said Peter Samson, General Manager of the Security Innovation Embedded Security Business Unit. "We are thrilled that Autotalks has placed their trust in the expertise of our engineering team. We look forward to a long and successful relationship with this industry-leading organization."
