Did Justin Bieber’s decision to marry Hailey Baldwin really surprise Selena Gomez? Hollywood Life has recently claimed that Selena was surprised when she heard about the news that Justin actually walked down the aisle with Hailey, Gossip Cop is here to debunk this story.
“Why would it be a ‘shock’ that someone who’s engaged would get married? It would actually be a ‘shock’ if someone ‘close’ to the ‘Hands To Myself’ singer was really leaking her inner thoughts to a site Gomez has previously slammed on Instagram as ‘never true. Ever,’" the team at Gossip Cop wrote in their fact-checking report.
“Among the many problems HollywoodLies has is that it manufactures so many fibs about celebrities, like Gomez and Bieber, it can’t keep track of its whoopers. But Gossip Cop can and does.”
Well, they sure didn’t mince their words. Gossip Cop will go on to explain that Hollywood Life can’t seem to keep their story straight. First, there was a report that Selena Gomez was hoping to see Justin and Hailey tie the knot soon after the engagement was announced, then Hollywood Life claimed that Selena wanted to see them wed because she wants to put it all behind her.
Hollywood Life has been known to come up with stories like this to draw attention to their site, so readers should take anything they post with a huge grain of salt. Reports like these are interesting reads, but they are seldom true.
In any case, Selena Gomez is not exactly trouble-free right now as she is seeking treatment at a mental health facility. Apparently, her physical health is partly to blame for her current condition. As a result of her struggle with Lupus, Selena underwent a kidney transplant last year and this seems to be taking a toll on her mind and body.
