Selena Gomez inspired by pal Taylor Swift to work on her own music; Her new album is expected to drop soon

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez is not just an actress but she sings too. She released two full albums so far and this includes “Stars Dance” in 2013 and “Revival” in 2015.

It has been four years since her last album came out and fans have been sending her messages to release new songs. Apparently, Gomez is aware that her fans want to hear her singing voice again and she assured them that she is listening to their requests.

Selena responds to her fan’s call for a new album

To let her fans know that their messages have reached her, she took to her Instagram story to give a reply. "Just so you know, I see your comments and I'm working on it," she wrote on Aug. 29. Selena Gomez also posted a black and white photo of herself while in the studio and it appears she wants fans to know she is serious in doing her new album. In the boomerang shot, Gomez was smiling and flashing a “peace” sing as she sits in the record room.

Taylor Swift’s influence

It took a while before the actress/singer started to produce her new songs again. And it was learned that aside from request from her fans, Selena Gomez felt more motivated to record again after her friend Taylor Swift released two LP’s in less than two years.

“Selena has been very motivated with working on new music because her brain is always focused on music,” a source told Hollywood Life. “She is always thinking of fun ideas and lyrics all the time for new songs either for herself or others. There is a new album coming that her fans have been clamoring for so long, she is just trying to put the finishing touches on it all!”

Selena’s album release schedule

The “I Can’t Get Enough” singer is said to be planning to publish her new album before this year ends. It was reported that Selena Gomez actually recorded many song pieces already and she just needs to pick 12 or 13 titles to include in her final lit of tracks officially.
