The premiere of “Shameless” Season 9 is only a month away and there are plenty of reasons for fans to be excited about it. So far, there have been plenty of surprises, including the extra episodes that resulted in the show being split into two blocks. Filming for this season is expected to wrap up this month, just in time to finalize touch-ups for the premiere. In the meantime, what’s up with this “Where’s Mickey” phenomenon?
For fans who haven’t been keeping that close of an eye on the developments of “Shameless” Season 9, the show will be coming back on Sept. 9. This is when Frank (William H. Macy), Fiona (Emmy Rossum), and the rest of the Gallagher family will be making their return to the small screen. This timeline can be particularly important for those who plan on binge-watching the previous season on Netflix.
As the fan site Netflix Life notes, the show’s eighth season arrived on the online streaming platform just this summer. This is more than enough time for fans to catch up on the events up to the present if they somehow missed it the first time around. They might want to do that too since there is a lot of catching up to do.
There’s Frank’s political ambition fueled by financial gain in “Shameless” Season 9 to start with. Then there’s Fiona taking a big risk with another business venture that could lead to a bust. As the countdown for the upcoming season gets near the zero mark, many fans have only one question on their minds: Where is Mickey?
A recent reminder by the "Shameless" Twitter account of the “Shameless” Season 9 premiere was bombarded by hilarious memes asking where Mickey Milkovich (Noel Fisher) is. As a fan favorite, Mickey’s absence in season 8 was deeply felt. Unfortunately, the actor playing him confirmed to Elite Daily all the way back in 2017 that he was not coming back. People still keep asking, though.
