BATAVIA, Ill., June 01, 2017 -- Sharratt Chiropractic recently announced a month-long fundraising event benefiting Mutual Ground. Mutual Ground is an organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence and sexual abuse. It promises to provide more than "just a shelter," and offers several options for help and intervention. The fundraiser has been named "Be Someone's Hero!" It runs from June 1 to June 30.
Sharratt Chiropractic knows that providing good care doesn't just mean patching up injuries that have occurred, but instead, includes preventing injuries from ever happening. Typically, this involves providing spinal alignments so that the body better resists damage. However, when the source of the damage is an aggressive person in the home, more must be done. That's where Mutual Ground comes in.
Mutual Ground provides services for the victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. It focuses on providing the psychological and social support needed for people to get out and stay out of the bad situations they have found themselves in. It also provides court advocacy services for victims. The organization provides educational services to schoolchildren in District 101 to help stop the cycle of domestic violence and sexual abuse, as well.
To raise money to help the organization, Sharratt Chiropractic is offering a unique opportunity. In exchange for a $35 minimum donation to Mutual Ground, it will provide a thorough chiropractic examination, including X-rays, and a personal report on the findings from Dr. Jack Sharratt.
"We believe that it's important for people to be healthy on every possible level. My clinic and I provide physical health services, while Mutual Ground focuses on solutions for stopping some of the worst causes of both psychological and physical injury. I am happy to offer some of my services in order to help them continue to offer theirs," said Dr. Sharratt, owner of Sharratt Chiropractic.
Due to various regulations, this fundraising offer does not include cases involving personal injury, worker's compensation claims, federally funded programs, treatment or therapies.
