Song Hye Kyo is turning 38 years old on Nov. 22 and in connection with this, fans have prepared very special events for her. For her upcoming birthday, her fans did not hold back and have given her the best gift that they could give at this moment.
The fans’ amazing birthday gift
According to The Straits Times, the actress received a billboard tribute in New York, USA, where her photo appeared on the large screen at Times Square. Her fans prepared an advertisement that will be played on the said world-famous screen and it was organized really well.
It was said that fans from South Korea, in cooperation with international fans, organized the event and they paid for the ad so it can continue playing until the actual day of Song Hye Kyo’s birthday which is on Friday. This must-have cost a lot but the fans are also proud because with what they have prepared, their favorite actress became the very first Korean actress to be featured on this billboard at Times Square in New York.
A first birthday celebration without a partner
In any case, while her fans showed their love for Song Hye Kyo, it can be noted that this will be her first birthday celebration without Song Joong Ki. The ex-couple has been together since they starred in “Descendants of the Sun” in 2016 so it means that she celebrated her special birthday with her now ex-husband for four years and now it’s over.
Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo ended their marriage in June although there are rumors that they could have broken up earlier than this. They are now officially divorced after the court finalized their separation in July.
Joong Ki and Hye Kyo’s divorce process was quick because they decided not to divide their assets and they immediately agreed to most of the terms in their divorce. Needless to say, their separation has been quiet although they are South Korea’s A-list artists.
Currently, Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are busy with their own projects. The actor has been filming movies while the actress has been spending time outside of showbusiness. She recently enrolled for a short course in an art school in New York and has only been doing promotional activities so far.
