Song Hye Kyo had a hectic year in 2019 but that was not all because of her job. As everyone already knows, she and Song Joong Ki ended their marriage in June 2019 and that was after only being together for a year and eight months.
The “Descendants of the Sun” star did not take a break even when her divorce was revealed to the public. As a result, Hye Kyo was slammed for supposedly acting like nothing happened. Apparently, the public wants her to some time off to “mourn” her separation from Joong Ki but all that the people saw was the actress continuing to attend to her schedules while looking all glamorous.
Although the Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo divorce was not really controversial as they managed to keep it quiet, both parties still had some negative write-ups just like what was mentioned above. In any case, the actress went on with her schedules despite the backlash.
Song Hye Kyo’s work schedules
Since her divorce, the actress did not have any acting gigs but she mostly focused on being a brand ambassador to Suecomma Bonnie, a Korean shoe brand, and Chaumet, a Paris-based jewelry company. She was also seen promoting beauty products in China and Indonesia and when she made a comeback in her home country, she continued to endorse various products.
What are the actress’ plans this year?
Song Hye Kyo revealed last year that she is planning to take a break after all her schedules are done. This means that this year, fans would see less of the actress as she will step out of the limelight for a while.
She said in her interview that she will focus on her health and wellness before returning to her job. It is also part of her plans to start a new project this year but she does not know what it is yet.
“I will take some personal time off,” she told Hong Kong’s Tatler. “I need to have some time for myself. Apart from events like these (promotional event), I will take it easy. And next year (2020), I will start a new project - maybe - but nothing has been fully decided yet. Let’s see if the stars align.”
