When it comes to celebrity couples separating, it is always a difficult topic for fans to digest. After all, these are two people whom they have invested a lot of emotions in only for the story to end in sadness. This is currently the case with Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, two of South Korea’s biggest stars. Recently, the pair have found themselves embroiled in issues that included divorce rumors, images that were doctored to push a certain narrative, and plenty of fan outrage.
As Business Times points out, Song Joong Ki and his wife are still together despite the reports that have been coming out that they are filing for a divorce or that they have already split. The couple tied the knot last year after getting engaged in 2017. If the reports about them being in a cold war are true, they certainly aren’t showing it in public.
On that note, there have been several instances where the relationship between the two could be misinterpreted. To start with, there have been the doctored photos of Song Joong Ki and his wife posted on social media to make them look like they were still together. While the fact of the matter is certainly there, the photo itself is a fake. This lead to speculations that they really have split.
The photos caused a ton of fan outrage due to the confusion that they have inspired and the same goes for the silence coming from Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo. It would certainly be quite helpful if the two could say a few things if only to ease the worries of the fans that sustain their fame.
For now, it can be definitively said that Song Joong Ki is still married to his wife. Whether or not it is a happy marriage, however, is currently unclear.
