As the highly anticipated reboot of the famous web-slinger for the PlayStation 4, Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man is a title that a lot of fans are eagerly waiting for. These gamers will soon get some measure of relief from the pain of anticipation with the developers promising to make the announcement of the release date on April 4th. To tide them over, a new trailer for the game has also been released.
Insomniac noted that the details about the release date will be provided by Game Informer via Tweet, in which the publication will supposedly have exclusive rights to cover whatever developments occur with regards to the title for a full month. One thing is for sure, however, and that is that the game will be released in 2018.
There was some confusion caused by the recently released trailer, which had the caption indicating that it was a footage shot for the Alpha stage. The clip itself contained gameplay shots, but the caption caused some concern among fans that it might have been delayed. Insomniac quickly cleared up the misunderstanding and assured gamers that they will be able to try the moves shown in the video this year.
In any case, those who may not have been following the development of this upcoming game that closely, it’s basically an entirely new adventure for Spider-Man. While there are still a lot of details that will need to be revealed before a proper deconstruction of the story can be done, at least some of the villains of the game have already been shown.
These include Mister Negative in Martin Li and the main antagonist organization appears to be the gang that is called Inner Demons. Based on the gameplay and videos shown so far, it seems fans of the franchise can expect plenty of action from this game. Hopefully, there will be fewer quick-time events than some of the videos seem to imply.
