Starbucks Korea just launched its reservation system for its seasonal loyalty reward program. The coffee chain arranged for this setup as customers tend to wait for a long time when queuing to get their merchandise in Starbucks outlets.
New method of claiming items under the reward program
Items from this world-famous coffee company are always a hit, and people really line up to get them. And since the upcoming merch from Starbucks Korea is seasonal items as well, longer lines are expected once they are launched.
Because of that, the reservation system was introduced, and this will also make it more comfortable for customers to buy or claim their limited-edition Starbucks merchandise. The company revealed this new system on Thursday, April 29, as per The Korea Herald.
The Korean unit of the coffee chain will start its summer event on May 11, and from this day, customers may avail stamps and collect them to get the Starbucks seasonal merchandise for this year. Those who want the free items must complete 17 stamps by purchasing SB products in outlets across the nation.
The limited summer items for 2021
As posted on Starbucks Korea’s social media page, this year’s seasonal merchandise for the loyalty reward program is the Summer Day Cooler and Night Singing Lantern. The cooler comes in two colors - pink and green, and it can hold 11 liters of content. The portable lantern is available in pink, black, and mint blue and also features another function which is a Bluetooth speaker.
The summer reward program from this year will run until July 12, and as long as they have the required number of stamps, customers can avail up to five items under their account. For the reservation system to claim their merchandise, customers have to set an appointment for pick-up date and time using the Starbucks mobile app.
Meanwhile, to prove how popular Starbucks merchandise is and how much people really want to have them, it was mentioned that in last year’s summer event under the same loyalty program, one customer bought 300 cups of coffee and other SB beverages just to earn her stamps and complete the required 17 counts in exchange for the Summer Ready bags.
