Steam is currently holding its annual Halloween sale and a lot of games are currently available at steep discounts. The sale starts at 10 percent off and goes as high as 90 percent. Some examples of AAA games that are currently on sale include “BioShock Remastered” and the first “Dead Space” game, which is at 50 percent off and 75 percent off respectively.
These huge sale events by Steam have become something of a traditional spectacle among gamers, much like Black Friday has become for shoppers. The platform offers games at significantly reduced prices, with some becoming so cheap that they are practically free. As Tech Times notes, however, the number of cheap titles are so numerous, they can be overwhelming. This is why the publication posted a list of some of the titles that are worth a look.
Now, the best way to check out which games are on sale during the platform’s Halloween event is to the direct route. Upon opening the Steam client or going to the Steam website, customers can click on the theme banner and they will be taken to a segment where all the horror games on sale can be viewed. This page contains the titles mentioned above, along with several Resident Evil games.
Numerous Indie titles are on display as well, which should tickle the fancy of fringe gamers who like going the cult route. For this niche, significant savings are all but guaranteed.
Since this is a Halloween event sale, the discounted prices are only going to be around for the next two days, Gamenguide reports. Once the holiday is over, the titles will also revert to their original prices, thus making the prospect of hoarding horror titles significantly more expensive. This would be a shame for fans of games like the award-winning classic “System Shock 2,” which is currently available at only $2.50.
