GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., April 14, 2017 -- Jenny Niemann, president and CEO of Forward Space, an independent Steelcase dealership in Chicago, has been nominated for a seat on the Steelcase Inc. Board of Directors. Steelcase shareholders will vote to approve her election to the board at the annual shareholder meeting on July 12, 2017.
Niemann previously worked at Steelcase in the areas of marketing, operations and channel development leadership. She moved to Boston in 2011 to lead Red Thread, a Steelcase-owned dealer, and in 2014 became the majority owner of an independent Steelcase dealership, ForwardSpace, in Chicago.
“Jenny will bring unique value to the board, combining her knowledge of Steelcase with her business acumen and fresh perspective on customer needs and marketplace trends,” said Robert C. Pew III, Chair of the Steelcase Inc. Board of Directors.
She currently serves on the board of the Chicago Architectural Foundation and holds a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics and economics from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, and a master of business administration degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
