Steem platform announced that it will be hosting a three-day “SteemFest” conference in Amsterdam from 11 to 13 November 2016 that will witness a mix of diverse thinkers, technophiles, libertarians, crypto enthusiasts, among others.

According to a post on Steemit, the idea of the event is to show the power of Steemit and make the event accessible to all Steemians. The Steemit HQ has announced an offer for all Steemians attending the event, providing with 1000 SteemPower into their account. The event team is also working on a 'Steem Travel Reimbursement Fund' where attendees can apply to get part of their trip paid by the fund depending upon miles travelled.

“The purpose of SteemFest is to leverage the incredible vibe of Steemit and create an environment in which a group of diverse thinkers, technophiles, libertarians, crypto enthusiasts and creative people can congregate. We will be able to nurture new relationships, learn from each other and discuss the endless possibilities of the Steemit blockchain for blogging, apps, business, and development,” Roeland Landegent, SteemFest organizer told media, as reported by themerkle.com.

SteemFest will comprise of series of conferences and workshops and will host a party for all attendees. The conferences will address on diverse topics and will have TedX style presentations. The conference will address on Steem blockchain, its potentials and how it can be adopted.

“The potential of the Steem blockchain is truly limitless; this is what we want to celebrate while also thinking of ways to enhance further mainstream adoption and modernize the way people can gain more for their community contributions,” Landegent added.

The cost of the conference tickets and the official names has not been disclosed by the event organizers, which is expected to be announced soon.
