Fans are already wondering if there will be “Steven Universe” season 6 since the fifth installment is finished already. The finale of season 5 was aired just this week so at this point, it is still hard to tell if Cartoon Network ordered more episodes for the next run.
Then again, despite the fact that there is no renewal announcement for “Steven Universe” season 6 yet, Express reported that there are rumors that it will be released this year. But of course, fans cannot just believe any reports because it is only official if the news came from either the series creator, Rebecca Sugar, or Cartoon Network.
At any rate, before “Steven Universe” season 6 arrives, fans will be treated to the movie version of the animated series first. In July 2018, via the San Diego Comic-Con, Sugar announced that they are working for “Steven Universe: The Movie” and a trailer was also unveiled at that time.
The announcement got the fans excited and the trailer intrigued everyone so they can’t wait for its premiere. The good news is that the release date of “Steven Universe: The Movie” was confirmed and it will be in the Fall, which means it is arriving in September.
“Steven Universe” season 6 will still focus on the Crystal Gems especially now that Steven embraced his Pink Crystal self in season 5’s finale titled “Battle of Heart and Mind.” Since Steven is back on Earth, the sixth run is likely to show more his adventures together with his Crystal Gem friends including Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl.
Meanwhile, as we all wait for “Steven Universe” season 6, anticipate the movie version first. More video teasers are expected to arrive so watch out for it. In the meantime, check out the “Steven Universe: The Movie” trailer below:
