‘Storks’ unveiled its new official trailer featuring Jason Derulo’s single “Kiss In the Sky”. Two fresh television spots were also added ahead of the scheduled release for September. Meanwhile, actor and comedian Stephen Kramer Glickman talked about his experiences while working on the upcoming animated film.
According to Screen Crush, Warner Bros. recently unveiled its latest official trailer for Nicholas Stoller and Doug Sweetland’s upcoming animated comedy-adventure film. The trailer featured a brand new single by singer-songwriter Jason Derulo entitled “Kiss In the Sky”.
The film follows Junior, a stork working at The Stork Co., who accidentally creates an unauthorized baby and must go on his very first baby drop before his crazy boss finds out. He is joined by human worker Tulip, who aids him on his adventure in hopes of finding her own family in the process. In the trailer, the Stork Co. was introduced as a delivery service that shifted from delivering babies to delivering packages for a global internet retailer.
In addition to the new trailer, the first two television spots have also been released ahead of the scheduled release for September. The television spots posted on Comicbook.com are entitled “Penguin Babysitters” and “Deliver Babies”. The footage featured a host of other animals including penguins, a red-faced monkey, and a pack of wolves.
The animated feature features the voices of Andy Samberg as Junior, Katie Crown as Tulip, Kelsey Grammer as Hunter the CEO of The Stork Co., Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele as the wolves Rich and Michael, Anton Starkman as human child Nate, Jennifer Anniston and Ty Burrell as Nate’s parents Sarah and Henry, Danny Trejo as Jasper the giant stork, and Stephen Kramer Glickman as Pigeon Toady.
Glickman, best known for his role on Nickelodeon’s hit television series ‘Big Time Rush’, expressed his enthusiasm over the new film. According to Digital Journal, he said, "It's a really phenomenal film and it's an original story from the mind of Nick Stoller. He's a very guy and this is his first animated film. I was lucky enough to be in it. It's hilarious and I had the best time of my life working on it.”
He admitted that he tried hard not to get intimidated by the ensemble cast. He said, “I got really lucky on it since I was a scratch vocalist on this movie. I was a rough draft for the first two years, and when it came time to cast the actual movie, I was really lucky that they decided to keep me in the movie… Once I actually got cast, it was a little nerve-wrecking, but everybody was super-nice to me. Kelsey Grammer was really incredible."”
‘Storks’ is an upcoming animated adventure-comedy film developed by Warner Bros. Animation under the Warner Animation Group. It is directed by Nicholas Stoller and Doug Sweetland with a screenplay written by Stoller. Stoller and Brad Lewis serve as producers while Glenn Ficarra, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, John Requa, and Jared Stern are executive producing.
It is scheduled to premiere on September 23, 2016.
