Netflix renewed “Stranger Things” season 4, and this was announced through a video teaser. The streaming site posted the clip in September last year, and this officially confirmed the fourth installment.
The teaser did not just reveal the upcoming arrival of “Stranger Things” season 4, but it also shared a bit of what can be expected in the new episodes of the sci-fi drama. First of all, it was suggested that the events would no longer take place in Hawkins, and they will probably solve mysteries and face the unknown in another dimension or region.
What will happen in season 4?
The producers and writers of and creators of “Stranger Things” season 4 shared that they actually have not decided yet on what will happen in the story. They have not fully made up their minds yet, so anything could happen at this point.
There could be flashbacks and plot twists to change the turn of events if they finally decided on which direction to take the drama. “We don’t know a lot, but we do know a lot of the big broad strokes,” Ross Duffer, co-creator of “Stranger Things,” told Entertainment Weekly. “At the end of season two, we knew about Billy. We knew that the Russians were going to come in.”
He added, “We didn’t know the mall and stuff, but again, we know these big broad strokes. That’s sort of where we are in season four.”
Spoilers as predicted by watchers
Those who follow the show believe that Hopper is not dead. Express reported that fans were also devastated when he appeared to have died, but in truth, he could have been transported somewhere, and no one knows about this yet.
Fans are convinced that sheriff Hopper is likely in Russia, and he is the “American” that the locals are referring to. He is being held, but he does not have any way of escaping at least for now. This was suggested after it was revealed that “Stranger Things” season 4 is currently being filmed in Lithuania.
“Stranger Things” season 4 may return late this year and, if not, in early 2021 as filming is expected to end in August.
