‘Suits’ season 6’s episode 16, titled “Character and Fitness,” will follow Mike as he continues to struggles with finally becoming a lawyer. He enlists Harvey and Rachel’s help but it seems that Anita will get in the way and block his efforts.
The synopsis for “Character and Fitness” posted on TV Guide reads, “Mike (Patrick J. Adams) needs Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Rachel's (Meghan Markle) help to overcome an impossible obstacle, or his dream of becoming a real lawyer is over;
Donna's (Sarah Rafferty) new venture hits a snag; and Louis (Rick Hoffman) tries to patch things up with Tara (Carly Pope).”
The upcoming episode will feature Mike as he enlists Harvey and Rachel’s help to him get out of a tricky situation. According to Cartermatt, Mike’s goal of finally becoming a lawyer will hit a snag when federal prosecutor and assistant attorney for the United States Attorney's Office Anita Gibbs (Leslie Hope) attempts to block his efforts.
In the promo, Anita tells Mike, “You are never getting my vote.” In the next scene, Rachel is determined to figure out a strategy to get Anita out of the panel as she is obviously doing everything in her power to block their case. In another scene, Mike warns Harvey, “She’s not gonna stop until she gets both of us.”
The final scene from the promo shows Anita trying to get Harvey to strike a deal with her. “You for him,” she says calmly.
Anita was the lead prosecutor in Mike’s case, where Mike was charged with fraud. She last appeared in season 6’s eleventh episode, titled “She’s Gone,” where Mike tried to adjust with being an ex-convict.
Season 6 began with Mike put behind bars but was eventually given the chance to become a lawyer. It remains to be seen whether Harvey and Rachel will successfully help him bring his dreams to fruition.
