“Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 has ended with the “Ray of Light” episode in December but it was revealed that it still has part 2 that will serve as the finale. This means this is the end of the “Alicization - War of Underworld” cour that is being aired into three parts.
Clearly, the battle is not yet over and the human empire and its protectors are likely to encounter more villains along the way. The unfortunate thing is the fact that Gabriel or Vecta caught Alice and he is already on his way to bring her to the World End’s Altar so he can possess the princess of light’s powers.
Plot synopsis
The part 2 of “Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 will pick up exactly where it left off in the previous episode and this is the time when the human empire warriors are trying their best to stop the American players who were tricked into killing and destroying the underworld by masking the situation as a beta test.
Sheyta and Renly are in the frontlines along with Iskahn, the leader of the Pugilists. Asuna and Bercouli went after Vecta to save Alice so they really lack the people to face the underworld invaders.
In any case, as per iMDb, the official synopsis of the upcoming “Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 titled the “The Great War of the Underworld” reads: “The ice sniper from Gun Gale Online, Sinon, successfully log-on into Underworld using a super account Solus, the goddess of the sun, to help Asuna and Kirito inside the Underworld against tons of Crimson Army and The Dark Knight.”
The return of Kirito
As can be seen in the trailer for “Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13, Kirito will finally wake up after hibernating for a long time. His return means that they now have a big chance to defeat the Crimson Army and the rest of the enemies. For the final battle, Kirito is likely to have a fierce face-off get Vecta and eventually get Alice back.
Airdate
“Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 part 2 was initially scheduled to arrive on April 25 but according to Reki Kawahara, they are moving the date due to the COVID-19 situation. On April 10, he told fans via Twitter that they want to protect their voice actors so they changed the release date to July.
