“Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 25 will be kicking off the huge battle involving the forces of the Human Empire and the Dark Territory. With the death of Administrator Quinella at the hands of Kirito, the power that was keeping evil forces at bay are now free to run amok once more, MonsterAndCritics reported.
Of course, “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 25 will not be featuring this battle on the get-go as Kirito still needs to recuperate from the wounds he sustained during the aforementioned fight. While this isn’t confirmed just yet, it’s likely that the first few episodes will have Alice take Kirito into her hometown, Rulid Village.
Following this short breather, Alice will then be mustering the forces of the Human Empire to prepare them for the upcoming onslaught. Called “War of Underworld,” this fight will be a brutal one with Kirito and Alice risking their life to hold back the forces tasked to decimate the latter’s world. Apart from this conflict within the virtual world, Kirito will also be dealing with an outside threat. It’s still unclear if “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 25 will hint at this fact since it’ll be too early to be setting up this narrative.
Whatever the case, though, Kirito’s life will be in danger from both fronts. As for how many episodes the second cour will have, it will likely be similar to the first half of this installment. The Blue Ray/DVD box lists the first half as having eight sets, with each one containing three episodes. If the second cour is handled similarly, then it will have 24 episodes. Of course, “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 25 will be included in the first set of the Blue Ray/DVD set.
With regards to the release date of the third installment’s second cour, it’s being assumed that it will return in October. This isn’t surprising given that the animators want more time to polish their output, especially with such a massive battle looming overhead. But don’t expect any fight in “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 25 as it will likely be used to set up the necessary details for the overall plot of the “War of Underworld.”
