Taco Bell Revamps Baja Blast Twists for 2024, Hinting at a Possible Nationwide Release
Taco Bell’s Baja Blast Twists may soon be available at a location near you, and this time, they’ve been revamped for an even better experience.
2024 is proving to be a monumental year for Taco Bell. It all began in February during their Live Más LIVE event, where a host of exciting new menu items were announced. The Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap quickly went viral and became a massive hit. Following this success, Taco Bell introduced a series of Baja Blast-flavored items, sparking widespread excitement. Mountain Dew Baja Blast, known for its iconic tropical lime flavor, is already a fan favorite. The announcement of three new Baja Blast items—Baja Blast Pie, Baja Blast Gelato, and the anticipated Baja Blast Twists—has only added to the anticipation.
Initially sampled during the Live Más LIVE event, the Baja Blast Twists were met with enthusiasm, though they featured a milder flavor. Now, Taco Bell has reintroduced them with a flavor upgrade that genuinely captures the essence of Baja Blast. These enhanced Twists recently appeared on the exclusive menu at Taco Bell’s Cantinas, an early retirement community, suggesting the chain might be testing the waters for a broader release. Given their return six months after the initial introduction, a nationwide launch seems increasingly likely.
While an official release date remains unannounced, the Baja Blast Twists are expected to debut sometime in 2024. In the meantime, fans can look forward to the upcoming Baja Blast Pie and Baja Blast Gelato launches, set to arrive at the end of August and early September, respectively.
Taco Bell Expands Its Baja Blast Lineup with New Pie and Gelato, Sparking Fan Excitement
According to Fast Food Club, Baja Blast has become one of the most beloved flavors in fast food. Mountain Dew Baja Blast has garnered a devoted following since its debut in 2004 as the first-ever franchise-exclusive soda. Its unique tropical lime flavor has made it a staple at Taco Bell, continuing to attract fans over the years. The excitement was palpable when Taco Bell revealed their new lineup of Baja Blast-flavored items. In addition to the Baja Blast Twists, here’s a preview of the other Baja Blast-inspired treats coming soon:
Baja Blast Pie: Baja Blast might not be the first flavor that comes to mind for a pie, but Taco Bell has defied expectations with this limited-time dessert. The Baja Blast Pie features the signature tropical lime flavor encased in a crunchy graham cracker crust. With its smooth texture and buttery curd, the pie generates buzz even before its nationwide release.
Baja Blast Gelato: For those seeking a sweet, refreshing treat, the Baja Blast Gelato is a must-try. This dessert transforms the iconic Baja Blast flavor into a creamy, frozen delight. Maintaining the drink’s vibrant blue-green color, the gelato offers a refreshing experience for warm days. Previously tested at select locations, the Baja Blast Gelato received positive reviews and is slated for a full release this September.
