Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn got married in secret according to reports. The pair are said to be expecting their first baby thus the wedding ceremony was held in haste in New York.
According to NW Magazine, before Swift and Alwyn flew to Paris last week as the singer has work engagements there, they secretly got married in a small chapel located in the Big Apple. It was suggested that the couple’s trip to the “City of Love” also doubles as a romantic reception for the wedding.
“The talk is that they may well have married in the States at a quiet little chapel in New York, before jetting off to Paris and celebrating with a few close personal friends,” the tipster claimed. “Tay (Swift) is so private and low-key, and one of the most romantic people you will ever meet, so it figures they’d hold their reception in the most romantic city on earth!”
Swift and Alwyn are also planning to have a big party in the U.S. once they finally reveal their marriage and pregnancy. Their family supposedly already knew about their plans and have been urging them to let the cat out of the bag in Hollywood since news travel fast anyway so it will not be long when their secret is discovered. It was added that although Taylor Swift knows that she is pregnant, she does not know how far along she is now.
Now, there are many holes in the report, and Gossip Cop confirmed that this is a made up story. To be sure about its position in debunking the claims, the publication checked the facts first, and the first thing they did was to verify with NY’s city clerk office if there was a registration of Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn’s marriage license and there was none. Moreover, the gossip police talked with someone close to the pair and were told that no secret wedding occurred and they are not expecting as well.
