Huntington Station, New York, Feb. 28, 2017 -- Teq is pleased to announce that since September of 2016, Teq Online PD has experienced a steady increase of usage, with 25k educators receiving full access to the CTLE-approved courses, and another 19k educators with basic accounts that provide access to selected and free content. The largest growth in usage was seen from December to January, when utilization of the platform grew 48%. By mid-February, usage increased another 16%.
The increase in usage of Teq Online PD can be tied to the action plan of the nOwTM Instructional Support team. This group of PD Specialists have been reaching out to schools and offering assistance by helping register new users, recommending courses, and providing strategies to administrators for increasing teacher utilization.
Teq's customer satisfaction (CSAT) scores for both onsite and online PD also increased, with CSAT scores of 98.7% and 97.43% respectively. With over 1,600 positive survey responses, the CTLE-approved professional development has become an essential tool for educators across the country. Teachers have stated that the courses have been incredibly informative and when combined with the time to practice, implementing these concepts in the classroom has been easy and effective.
Both professional development services offer a personalized and convenient way to ensure teachers maximize the use of educational technology for instruction. Focused on popular tools such as G Suite, Chromebooks, SMART Boards, and STEM solutions, Teq PD provides educators with the skills to improve engagement and learning outcomes for students.
Monthly courses are created and delivered by Teq's Professional Development team, made up entirely of experienced state-certified teachers. Popular courses for the month of January included "Differentiated Tips for SMART Notebook," "Going Further with Google Classroom," and "Best Practices with Mobile Assessment."
Positive feedback was also received for the nOw Instructional Support service, the newest addition to Teq's professional development offerings. Available as a part of Teq Online PD, or as a stand-alone product, nOw offers instant access to a Teq PD Specialist. Teachers can instantly receive assistance via live video, online chat, email, or they can schedule an online conference.
With the positive feedback, Director of eLearning Joseph Sanfilippo looks forward to the months ahead. "The rise in usage and CSAT ratings means not only are more teachers taking our courses than ever before, but also are finding the content useful. We're achieving our goal of empowering teachers to successfully integrate technology in the classroom, and we look forward to reaching more teachers in the months to come.”
Teq is an approved New York State CTLE PD provider, and an approved PD provider for teacher certification requirements in Delaware, West Virginia, and Montana. Teq certification courses are approved for teacher certification requirements in Nevada.
