Tesla China is celebrating the Chinese New Year with a series of incentives aimed at encouraging current owners to travel more. The incentives were publicized via Tesla China's official Weibo account.
Tesla China Offers Free Trial of Enhanced Autopilot and Other Incentives To Celebrate Chinese New Year
As noted in Tesla China's social media post, the business is providing a number of extra "courtesy" benefits to consumers this New Year, as per Teslarati. For example, existing Tesla customers might take delivery of a new vehicle and have their Enhanced Autopilot (EAP) or Full Self-Driving (FSD) system transferred to their new Tesla at no cost.
Aside from free EAP/FSD transfers, Tesla China included a complimentary 30-day trial of Enhanced Autopilot for existing owners. On its poster, the electric vehicle manufacturer stated that the free EAP offer is available to millions of automobile owners in China. Tesla also stated that Enhanced Autopilot, with its increased driver-assist capabilities, should make New Year's travel safer.
One may argue that Enhanced Autopilot is Tesla's most cost-effective premium driver assistance package, as it includes Navigate on Autopilot, Auto Lane Change, Autopark, Summon, and Smart Summon. In the United States, EAP costs $6,000, half of FSD's $12,000. Despite this, EAP has practically all of FSD's functions, with the exception of Autosteer on City Streets and Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control.
New Incentives to Boost Tesla China Sales: Discounts, Free Trials, and Supercharging
Aside from a 30-day free trial of Enhanced Autopilot, Tesla China also discounts select models' Cold Weather package. The posters uploaded on Weibo also mention free Supercharging, which would be useful for owners traveling long distances.
Tesla China's new set of incentives has the potential to entice more customers to test drive the company's automobiles. They also complement the recent discounts on inventory Model Y machines and premium paint options. These additional incentives, combined with earlier promotions, might help Tesla China achieve record sales this quarter.
